The Bacon Post

Trying to post photos again after Joseph Scott pointed out I may have a broken PHP file on my server. I installed the plugin he built to resolve the issue. Now I'm going to try a post with multiple photos.

  1. To be fair here, I checked with Media Temple, the company that host my site, and here are the versions they are running:

    PHP = /usr/local/php-5.2.14-2 (I'm thinking this means version 5.2.14)
    libxml2 = 2.6.16

    Joseph indicates that the issue was fixed with PHP 5.2.9 and libxml2 2.7.3. His post was written in March 2009, nearly 2 years ago.

    I'm a little surprised that Media Temple is this far behind. One of the comments suggests that cPanel is the reason some hosting companies are behind, because that application doesn't support the latest version of PHP.

    Anyway, even with Josephs plugin, as you can see above, the posting to my WordPress site, using the iPhone doesn't work correctly. It's always amusing to watch everyone point fingers at each other. In the end I'm the one still not able to post media to my blog.

  2. Hi there. Is this a problem you're having specifically with the WordPress iPhone app? Have you tried contacting WordPress support or visiting forums?

    Good luck with this! This particular issue looks to be a bug within the app. If you feel there is something going on server side- any time, not just this instance- please let us know.

  3. Thanks for the link. My mission today was to see who else was having this issue. And I can see others are too.
